Participation in youth baseball and softball involves inherent risks, including but not limited to physical injury, falls, collisions, weather-related conditions, and equipment-related accidents. By allowing your child to participate in Southside Little League (“the League”), you acknowledge and accept these risks as part of normal athletic activities.

In consideration of your child’s participation, you agree to release, waive, and hold harmless Southside Little League, its board members, officers, coaches, umpires, volunteers, Little League International, the City of Rochester, and Monroe County or any entities providing fields or facilities from any claims, demands, or liabilities arising from participation in League activities, except in cases of gross negligence or willful misconduct. This release applies to practices, games, team events, travel, clinics, and any League-sanctioned activity.

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless the League and its representatives from claims brought on behalf of your child or arising from your child’s actions that result in injury or damage to others.

If a medical emergency occurs and a parent or guardian cannot be contacted, you authorize League volunteers to obtain emergency medical care for your child. You understand that you are responsible for all medical expenses associated with such care.

You acknowledge that Little League International provides secondary accident insurance and that your personal health insurance is the primary coverage. Any claims must be submitted through your primary insurer before Little League coverage can apply.

You agree that you and your child will comply with all League rules, safety policies, and codes of conduct. Failure to follow these rules may result in removal from practices, games, or League participation if necessary for the safety of players, coaches, and volunteers.

By completing registration, you certify that your child is physically able to participate in baseball or softball and that you will notify the League of any medical or behavioral conditions that could affect participation or safety.

By registering your child for Southside Little League, you grant the League permission to capture and use photographs or video of your child taken during games, practices, or League events for website content, social media updates, League communications, and promotional or informational materials. No identifying personal information will be published without your explicit consent. You may request removal of an image at any time by contacting the League.

By completing registration for Southside Little League, you acknowledge that you have read, understand, and agree to abide by the terms of this Liability Waiver, General Release, and Media Authorization.
